Never miss the results of a test, ever again

Miya’s Results Tracking analyzes each result so that a clinician sees every abnormal result in a timely manner. This includes results that are returned after a patient is discharged. Without decision support, clinical staff must check every result manually which can swamp them and prevent them from attending to other work.

Results Tracking allows clinicians to view any test results that have occurred within multiple systems and automates the actions that are taken by the clinicians when dealing with any missed results. A complete audit trail is created to comply with the highest standards of clinical governance and accountability, while making the process as efficient as possible.

Review actions include printing a letter to the general practitioner or patient for significant results; logging phone calls to general practitioners to alert of results; and creation of reports to give to the hospital risk manager for patients lost to follow up with significant results.

Results Tracking is highly customizable, allowing Units to set up escalation policies for their high priority problems. For example, Miya can send a SMS or page if a low haemoglobin result has not been read in 4 hours in one unit, or 24 hours in another, depending on the Unit’s specific needs.

Miya’s Results Tracking is a web-based system so it can be used from any computer within the hospital. This enables Units to monitor results for patients who have had results returned after they have been discharged and for those patients whose results have returned a significant value while between outpatient clinics.

Perhaps most important of all, Results Tracking provides a safety net for all patients and clinicians in the hospital.
